What is a correspondent?
A "P&I Correspondent" is a person or a company, independent of the P&I Clubs, provides claims handling services to the Clubs and their members.
A correspondent is expected to be available 24x7, known the shipping industry in his port, country or region well, have good contacts and, esentially, be a Mr. Fix-It"
